Brief Description

Bushy small shrub with many yellowish leafless twigs inhabiting mountain areas of the South Island. Twigs with small dark triangular scales and pale grooves. New twigs narrower, orange. Flowers small, inconspicuous, reddish. Fruit reddish, oval, with hard seed at tip.
