FloraRecord Your Observations

Record your plant observations

If you find any of the plants described on this website please record your observations using this record sheet.

It is especially important to record exotic plant populations that occur near or in nature reserves, conservation areas, scenic reserves, national parks and forest parks. The Network will make this information available to the landowner or council on whose land the weed is located and to a weed management agency if appropriate.

This information will increase understanding of plant distribution and abundance in New Zealand and will form the basis of future plant conservation strategies.

If you discover a suspected incursion of a new weed species please report it immediately to Biosecurity NZ on 0800 809 966.
