Brief description
Large bulbs produce leaves mid-winter, flower spikes appear from late August (in NZ).
Distribution
An occasional plant in NZ gardens. First wild record was in a green waste dump, and presumed to be a garden discard.
Detailed description
Rosette of glossy leaves with undulating margins; inflorescence at tip of 25-50 cm erect stems.
