The New Zealand Plant Names Database provides access to information on plant taxa that occur in New Zealand. It currently includes the names for seed plants, mosses, liverworts, lichens and freshwater algae.
UK Native Species Checklists
Provides checklists of native plants for Britain and separate lists for England and Scotland.
UK Postcode Plants Database
The Postcode Plants Database generates lists of native plants and wildlife for any specified postal district in the UK.

Threatened Plants

IUCN 1997 Threatened Plants List
The 1997 IUCN Red List of Threatened Plants was published as a book in 1998 by IUCN, as part of IUCN/SSC's red list programme. This searchable database provided here was developed by WCMC, in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. This database makes available 35,319 records from the WCMC Threatened Plants Database of plants that are recorded as globally threatened. In addition to information published in the book, WCMC has included information on common names and synonymy.

There are presently 136 Contracting Parties to the Convention, with 1288 wetland sites, totaling 108.9 million hectares, designated for inclusion in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance.

Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne, Australia
The Royal Botanic Gardens was established in 1846, after Lieutenant Governor Charles La Trobe selected the site on the southern bank of the Yarra River. Singapore Botanic Gardens
Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of Singapore and a keen naturalist, set up the first Botanic Garden on Government Hill at Fort Canning in 1822 mainly to introduce into cultivation economic crops such as nutmeg, clove and cocoa. Bason Botanic gardens, Wanganui
In 1966 the late Mr Stanley Bason offered his farm property to the Wanganui City Council for the creation of a botanical reserve. Work began on roading and damming the Mowhanau stream in 1971 and from there Wanganui's Bason Botanic Gardens has flourished.
