Simplified description
Greyish shrub bearing grey-green thick oval leaves that are fuzzy on both surfaces (particularly when young) inhabiting subalpine areas south from Arthur’s Pass. Leaves 10-20mm long by 4-8mm wide, musky smelling. Flowers white with yellow centre, in small clusters. Seeds fluffy.
