Simplified description
Low growing prickly shrub with white tubular flowers and small orange fruit to 3.5cm tall inhabiting inland Canterbury and Marlborough valleys. Leaves densely clustered, 1-2mm long (excluding tip and stalk) by 0.5-1.5mm wide, with a prominent sharp tip and a pale edge, underside striped. Flowers around 5mm long, hairy inside.
Distribution
Endemic. South Island in the east from Marlborough to Otago.
