Simplified description
Small tree bearing thin toothed oval leaves that are white underneath and with the vein network easily visible inhabiting forests from the Coromandel south to the Buller River. Leaves 9-15 cm by 3-7cm wide. Flowers white, body fuzzy, in a loose spray. Seeds fluffy.
