Fungi – Native
The sporophore is up to 6 cm high. The stalk is 2.5–3 cm high and up to 4 cm wide, more or less conical with a truncate apex. The surface is pale ochraceous-brown, in places becoming strongly radially fissured exposing the pale ochraceous flesh. Stipe-columella is continuous, 5.5–6 cm high, 1.3–1.5 cm wide at the slightly enlarged base, solid, pale ochraceous-brown to ochraceous-buff. All hyphae have clamp connections. The basidia are 33–42 x 10 µm, hyaline, clavate, with 4 sterigmata. The spores are ochraceous to fulvous, 9–11.2 x 6–7.2 µm, elliptic to amygdaliform. The wall is very slightly thickened, smooth or appearing slightly roughened at the apex when examined under oil, non amyloid and with a centric or lateral apiculus. Under SEM distinct surface ornamentation is visible.
Known from a single collection made in April 1981.
