Cold tolerant - deciduous. Shade tolerant but flourishes best in full sun. Can tolerate a wide range of situations, soils and mositure regimes.

Perennial woody vine. Sterile hyrbid - seed not formed, Vegetative by stolons and/or rhizomes. Does not form viable seed. Vegetative spread, usually from carelessly discarded garden waste
