Restorations Pathways Workshop
A huge amount of ecological restoration mahi is planned and underway in the Queenstown Lakes District (QLD) region. The New Zealand Plant Conservation Network (NZPCN) is excited to be working alongside the QLD Council to extend the reach of our recent conference in Tāhuna – Queenstown (December 2022) which focused on Hauropi whakahou ki Aotearoa – Restoration Ecology in New Zealand. We want to provide a mechanism to share local learnings, define and facilitate success. We are inviting all conference participants and restoration practitioners who work in the Queenstown Lakes District to contribute stories about their restoration experiences.
Apologies to those of you who expressed interest in attending the evening session, we made the decision to cancel this late last week as we had only two people registered. To make the afternoon session easier to attend, we have extended it from 1 PM to 5.30 PM, folks can stay as long as they wish, and feel free to turn up whenever you are available. If there is a need to go beyond 5.30 PM, we will stay on longer.
Key details: 15th May 2023, the Anthenaeum Hall (33 Buckingham Street, Arrowtown). Session 1 (1-4 PM though it may end up running until 5:30 if attendees are keen).
RSVP mechanism: For catering purposes please email Alex () to confirm which workshop session you’re keen on. All participation is welcomed, even if you can only join for part of a session.
You can download a template here to help share your restoration stories and experiences with us.
Please feel free to circulate this flyer and help promote the event.
