Brief description
Semi-woody short-lived shrub withalmost glabrous opposite leaves; all green parts excude a milky poisonous latex when broken. Pods (actually follicles) inflated, soft-bristly and ‘swan-shaped’, packed with black seeds each bearing a white coma (‘parachute’).
