Simplified description
Low growing rounded shrub with leafless erect hairy stems tipped by yellow flowers inhabiting southern Canterbury mountains. Stems 2-4mm wide. Leaves scale-like, greenish but more or less covered in yellow or white fuzz, embedded in fuzz. Flowers yellow in a tight 3-6mm wide cluster at tip of stems.
