Distribution
North Island from Lake Whangape. South Island lakes and tarns. Also found in Australia (Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Western Australia).
Habitat
An aquatic or semi-aquatic plant found in mud or silt of shallow rivers and on the seasonally inundated margins of streams and rivers. Often found among grasses and sedges in damp mud, bogs and swamps.
